Across the UK, we throw away thousands of tonnes of unwanted clothes each and every year.
Instead of sending these clothes to landfill, donate them via our Clothing Banks placed around Staffordshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands and beyond.
Not only will your clothes help people less fortunate, but the proceeds raise valuable funds for our chosen organisations.

Help those in Need
Recycling clothes via a clothes bank can directly benefit individuals and families who are less fortunate.
Your recycled clothes can provide warm clothing, including coats, sweaters, and shoes, to those who may not have the means to purchase them from new.
Reduce waste
In the UK 1.75m tonnes of clothing waste is created each year and over 1.2m tonnes ends up in landfill.
Many people discard clothing items that are still in good condition – over 360,000 tonnes thrown away are wearable clothes. Recycling clothing helps reduce this waste.

What Happens to the Clothes you Donate?
Once we have collected and emptied our recycling clothing banks, all items are hand sorted and separated for specific destinations around the world.
All Grade A clothes consist of being 100% wearable, in good shape and colour with no marks or stains will be sent to shops all over Europe just like the second-hand shops we have in the UK.
Who we support
Through recycling your clothes, you are also helping us fundraise for our chosen organisations. We pay a % based on the weight collected.

What is the cost of having a Clothing Bank?
Sunflower Recycling cover all costs, there are no costs at all to your organisation.
What space do we need to have to home a Clothing Bank
We generally ask for the equivalent of 1 car parking space, this allows easy access & clearance to empty.
How is the Recycling Clothing Bank emptied?
Sunflower Recycling organise regular collections by authorised personnel. All maintenance is carried out by Sunflower Recycling.
What happens to the clothing?
The clothing is collected, sorted, sold and then exported to less affluent countries. This prevents the textile waste going to landfill.
How long do we need to have the Clothing Bank?
You can choose to have the clothing bank as long as you are happy to have it. No minimum or maximum terms.
When is the Clothing Bank delivered?
Upon successful agreement of having a Clothing Bank, we would agree the time and date with you.
What areas do you cover?
